Elgar The Dream of Gerontius - May 2014
Under the direction of Conductor Neil Moore, four choirs - Bath Cantata Group, Bradford on Avon Choral Society, Noctis Chamber Choir and Vox8 Chamber Choir, accompanied by the 'Bath Gerontius Orchestra', performed Elgar's 'The Dream of Gerontius' at St John the Evangelist Church, Bath on Saturday 17th May.
Paddy and The Three Volcanoes - Talk by Alastair Chalmers
Alastair Chalmers gave a most interesting and informative talk (Paddy and the three Volcanoes) accompanied by beautiful photographs. He talked about many aspects of Indonesian life but focused in particular on paddy fields and volcanoes. After the talk everyone enjoyed a traditional English tea!
Choral Workshop 2014 - Duruflé Requiem
The Duruflé Requiem workshop held on 11th October 2014 was a great success.
On a sunny day, more than 60 singers from choirs across Somerset and Wiltshire joined together and spent the day learning the work before ending with an enthusiastic performance of the entire piece to an audience.
Everyone involved enjoyed the opportunity to become more familiar with this classic of the choral repertoire.
Many thanks to Neil for making this a great day out.

BCG members had a busy time carol singing this year at Moorland's School, Greystones Care Home and on Thursday 11 December as the 'weather-bomb' did its worst around the Lansdown area they managed to raise well over £150 for St Stephen's Fabric Fund! Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and to those who donated! |
